An Easter Sunday card game turned into a fight and robbery on North Russ Street.
Bainbridge Public Safety officers responded to the residence at 225 N. Russ St. at roughly 9:30 p.m. in reference to shots being fired.
When officers arrived on scene they were told that a male with dreadlocks, who was wearing a black shirt and black jeans, was seen holding another male down on the couch and beating him up. The aggressor, who was later identified as Dominique Rogers, was allegedly holding a gun at the victim, who was later identified as Henry Frazier. According to a witness, who entered the room after hearing gunshots, Rogers yelled at Frazier to “give it up as if he was robbing him.”
Rogers was found lying in the woods by BPS and after it was determined that he matched the description from the scene he was arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.
A gun holster, cash and a set of brass knuckles were found in his possession at the time of his arrest.
According to BPS investigator Mark Esquivel a loaded firearm was found in the area during a search on Monday morning.
