Shirley Keller, 90, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. A private interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Mrs. Keller’s grandsons and great-grandsons serving as active pallbearers.

Shirley Irene Waite was born September 15, 1925, in Blades, Delaware, the daughter of Irvin Waite and Martha Ellis Waite. Shirley married Kenneth Wayne Keller in October 1942, and devoted her life to caring for him and their family. She made her home in Bainbridge in 1974 and was of Baptist faith.
Shirley took to heart the Lord’s command to “feed my sheep,” often cooking for those in need or as a ministry of comfort. She enjoyed sewing and crochet as well as crossword puzzles. Shirley spent her life loving and doting on her husband, her children and her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.
Survivors include her husband of over 73 years, Kenneth Keller Sr.; her children, Linda Nix and her husband, Roger of Climax, Ga. and Kenneth Keller Jr. and his wife Joan, of Oglethorpe, Ga.; her sister, Madalyn Knowles and her husband, Horace, of Lewes, Delaware; her grandchildren, Kenneth, Angela, Kathy, Tracy, Karen, Cindy and Bert; her twenty great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Misty.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Helen Donnelly, Charlie Waite and David Waite.
