On Monday, September 5, 2016, God called His servant home to eternal rest. Mother Judie A. Belvin, 103, was born January 10, 1913 in Woodville, Florida to the late Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Estell Porter Austin.

Mother Belvin was married to the late Warren Belvin Sr. This union was blessed with eleven children: five of whom, Warren Belvin Jr., Robert Belvin, Benjamin Belvin, Eddie George Belvin and Dorothy M. Laster, preceded her in death.

Mother Belvin spent most of her life sewing for the public until her eyesight failed. She was a faithful member of Campbell Street Church of God in Christ in Bainbridge, under the pastorate of Elder Davis and now Dr. Charles E. Weaver II and his wife, Missionary K. Weaver.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory four daughters: Annette Gardner of Atlanta, Deloris Murphy (Cephus) of Bainbridge, Anna Solomon of Woodland, Calif. , Vivian Belvin of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Louise Belvin of Atlanta; two sons, Willie Charles Belvin (Joan ) of Atlanta and Anderson Belvin of Los Angeles, California; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a special son-in-the Lord, Pastor Joseph Sarpong (Dorothy) of Bainbridge; a special daughter who served her well, Sister Bettye Holmes of Bainbridge; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Campbell Street Church of God in Christ, with Dr. Charles E. Weaver II, Pastor and Prophet Dr. L. E. Cohen presiding.

Interment followed in Jonas Lobe Cemetery. Her grandsons Christopher Evans, Stanley Harris, Reginal Harris, Cephus Murphy Jr., Tony Shuman and Paul Thomas acted as pallbearers.

Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
