Harrison, Minor Jr. join SW Ga. Farm Credit

George Thomas (Tom) Harrison has joined the Board of Directors of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit. Mr. Harrison, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, fills the seat previously occupied by Mr. Robert Moss, who served the Association in that capacity for 23 years.
“Tom has the experience and network to serve the area’s farmers, agribusinesses, and rural communities on the Southwest Georgia Farm Credit Board,” said Kim Rentz, Chairman. “We’re confident the Association, and its members, will benefit from Tom’s involvement.”
Mr. Harrison holds degrees from The Florida State University in Accounting and Finance.
Southwest Georgia Farm Credit is also pleased to announce that John Alan (Bo) Minor, Jr. has joined the staff as a Credit Analyst. Mr. Minor is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master’s degree in Agribusiness. He also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in accounting, from Georgia Southwestern State University.
“Bo’s agricultural background gives him first-hand knowledge and experience in working with farmers and agribusinesses,” said Cindy Strickland, Director of Credit Risk Underwriting at Southwest Georgia Farm Credit. “In addition to having worked on his family’s farm, Bo has the financial and analytical skills that will help our association continue to serve our clients.”
A native of Americus, Mr. Minor and his wife, Lauren, live in Bainbridge.
