Harry Everett Matillo, III, 62, of Albany, Ga., passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel.

Harry Everett Matillo, III was born August 6, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Harry Everett Matillo, Jr. and Majorie Malone Harrison Matillo. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1972, and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Everett lived most of his life in southwest Georgia and was a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Albany. He worked as a material coordinator at the USMC Logistics Base in Albany, GA.
Everett was quite an artist and musician, especially enjoying the guitar. Previously, Everett worked as an operations manager for Lamar Outdoor Advertising, so his craft has been on display for the world to see. He loved the outdoors and often spent time doing yard work, playing with his beloved dogs, or grilling, combining another favorite pastime, cooking. Everett had an eye for automobiles, with his favorite being the Ford Mustang.
Survivors include his son, Ryan Everett Matillo, of Albany; his siblings, Mark W. Matillo and his wife, Gail, of Tallahassee, Fla. and Malone Denise Harms and her husband, Charles, of Las Vegas, Nev.; his grandchildren, Marissa and Scarlett; and his nephews, Chadwick Harms and Matthew J. Matillo. Everett was preceded in death by his parents.
