The “Raising Dough for Dogs” pizza night at Uncle Bill’s Thursday night, April 20, was a great success. The community showed out in full force, as there wasn’t an empty table and the Pizza order line was almost out the door, according to Dennie Nichols, board president.
The Bainbridge Decatur Humane Society mascot Paws was also big hit, as many stood to have their pictures taken with him.
Nichols, president of the board of the B-DC Humane Society, expressed how very grateful they are for the support of local businesses, such as Uncle Bill’s, who hosted this fundraiser; and the community for their continued support of the Humane Society’s mission of helping the helpless. “We are very appreciative of everyone’s support. We are very well aware that we are constantly asking for donations, but we still need money for day-to-day operating expenses, while also trying to raise funds to build a new facility. We would not/could not survive without our constant donors or fundraisers.”
