A Grady County man crashed his vehicle into a bus carrying 31 Bainbridge Middle School students last Friday around 8 p.m.
The driver, Charles Thomas, 31, was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Decatur County Superintendent Tim Cochran said the kids, chaperones and teachers on the bus were taken to the hospital to be checked for injuries. Many kids were a little shaken, he said, but no injuries were reported, and the last of the kids returned home early Saturday morning.
The bus was returning from Lowndes County after a choral performance.
