The May term Decatur County Grand Jury returned 49 True Bills of Indictment Tuesday, including a true bill for Greg McDonald on two charges of Child Molestation, one Aggravated Sexual Battery and one Sexual Battery.
McDonald’s indictment states he committed immoral and indecent acts against three children under the age of 16 on dates ranging from March 2011 to December 2016.
McDonald, 51, was arrested in February and charged with child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. He was arrested in May on additional child molestation and sexual battery charges.
District Attorney Joe Mulholland said this was a touchy, high-profile case.
“We’ll see how it plays out in court,” Mulholland said. “When the time comes, we will honor the jury’s decision.”
Mulholland said he expects a trial for McDonald to happen either this winter or next spring.
Richard Thomas Dixon was also true billed for child molestation. He was charged on one count of aggravated sexual battery, four counts of aggravated child molestation and three counts of child molestation. Dixon’s indictment states he committed sexual acts against a child under 16 between May 2015 and September 2016.
A re-indictment against Antonio Demarquis Glenn was returned to better cover all the details of a double homicide in April and September. Glenn was charged one count malice murder, two counts
felony murder, two counts aggravated assault and two countys possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
“We had a lot of cases that came about. It seems summer and spring is when the case load gets heaviest,” Mulholland said.
Other true bills included multiple counts of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana charges.
