Senior 4-H members from Decatur County attended Georgia 4-H’s Fall Forum at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, December 9-10, 2017.
Branch Austinson, Alaina Cox and Journey Austinson traveled with Seminole County 4-H’ers to participate in this event.
Fall Forum is an educational and recreational opportunity planned and conducted by the Georgia 4-H State Board of Directors, an elected group of nine high school officers from counties across the state. This year’s conference, themed “4-H Fame-ily: Where You Are the Star” included workshops, exhibits and service projects led by high school 4-H’ers. The conference also included networking and recreational activities, a performance by Georgia 4-H’s performing arts group Clovers & Company, a dance, and a 4-H 4K Run.
The weekend included workshop sessions taught and prepared by high school 4-H’ers, exhibits from Fall Forum attendees, and youth-led community service projects. Additional recreational programming also gave 4-H’ers opportunities to interact with youth from all over Georgia.
Georgia 4-H is the premier youth development organization of its kind in Georgia. Georgia 4-H seeks to create youth and adult partnerships and develop youth into catalysts for positive change. Through youth development programming, 4-H assists youth in acquiring leadership, citizenship, service and life skills.
