Cougars light up scoreboard in 82-56 win over Sherwood Christian Academy

The Grace Christian Academy Cougars had no trouble putting the ball in the basket Thursday night as they roared to an 82-56 win over Sherwood Christian Academy.
The win marks one of the highest scoring nights in Cougars basketball history.
GCA led 19-14 after the first quarter, 41-31 at halftime and 66-48 after three quarters. They held Sherwood to just 8 points in the fourth to seal the deal.
Sam McRae poured in 32 points. He was lightning from the 3-point line, hitting 6 of 9. He also went 2-for-4 from the free throw line.
Jaylen Jones was the other Cougar to light up the scoreboard. He added 21 points of his own, nailing two 3-pointers and going 3-for-7 at the line.
Jones and McRae also had 7 rebounds each. Jones also had 3 steals and 3 assists.
Jared Duke had 9 points and 5 rebounds, Clay Wells had 8 points and 2 rebounds and De’Andre Rogers had 6 points and 4 rebounds.
The Cougars played Friday at home against Georgia Christian and will play Highland in Valdosta next Tuesday. Tipoff is at 8 p.m.
