Bainbridge JROTC wins at Title Town drill meet

The Bainbridge High School Air Force JROTC competed in the Title Town Drill Meet, hosted by Lowndes High School, Valdosta, Ga., February 10, 2018.  The drill meet consisted of a competition between 11 different schools.  Bainbridge High School AFJROTC, “Wings of Blue” Drill Team has put in nearly 150 hours of practice time to prepare for the past 3 drill meets.  The team’s hard work and dedication has truly been evident in them winning awards at each of the drill meets.

Bainbridge High School competed in the Unarmed and Armed Division at the Title Town Drill Meet and brought home the following awards:

Individual Drill Regulation, Unarmed – 2nd Place (Cadet Curtiss Watson)

Unarmed Regulation – 2nd Place (Commander – Cadet Jonathon Layerd)

Commander’s Challenge – 2nd Place (Commander – Cadet Curtiss Watson)

Unarmed Inspection – 3rd Place (Commander – Cadet Logan Spooner)

Lieutenant Colonel David Stewart, Bainbridge High School Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, stated “This drill team has done great this year and I am very proud of each of them for their hard work and dedication.  This team has really come together and performed wonderfully, especially considering that the majority of the team are in their first and second semester in JROTC.”

The Bainbridge High School Air Force JROTC is raising money for the program and the Drill Team.  The JROTC does nearly 2,000 volunteer hours each year around Decatur County and competes in numerous Drill Meets.  They could really use your assistance in raising money to continue the success of the program.
