The Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation awarded a scholarship for the fall and spring semesters to ABAC at Bainbridge student Abbi Meadows of Donalsonville on March 5, when Fred Kitchens, the Executive Director of the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Foundation, visited the ABAC at Bainbridge campus.
Since 1965, Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia has been awarding students scholarships all over the state. Over 1,000 scholarships and nearly $2 million worth of scholarships have been awarded during the past 50 years.
“The only thing we ask of you it to use the scholarship to the best of your abilities,” said Fred Kitchen. “And to remember your school. When you have the resources down the road—remember the school that put you there.”
Meadows began taking classes on the ABAC at Bainbridge campus the summer after her junior year in high school. She was honored to accept the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Scholarship and plans to use it to fulfill her dreams.
She said, “This scholarship is helping me to fulfill my dreams for my future. I am very appreciative of the scholarship and for those who are investing in my goals.”
Meadows plans to obtain a Radiology Degree (RAD) and work in a radiology clinic. She also plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Radiology and further her education with a Health Information Management Degree.
