First National Bank announces two new board members

First National Bank recently appointed two new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are Glennie Cox Bench and Brooke Turner Jones.
“Our two newest Board members embody the spirit of community, bring talent, expertise and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them join our team as we continue to grow and serve our communities,” said Brad E Barber, President & CEO.
Glennie Bench is the President of Southwest Georgia Oil Company in Bainbridge, where she also serves as the Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to joining Southwest Georgia Oil Company in 1991, she was an accountant with Lee & Mann, PC specializing in governmental auditing. Bench is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Valdosta State University.
Actively involved in community affairs, Mrs. Bench was elected to the at-large post of the Bainbridge City Council in 2009 and is currently serving her third term. She also serves as Chairperson of the Memorial Hospital & Manor Authority and has previously served as treasurer of the Memorial Hospital Foundation. She is a member and former past president of the Bainbridge Rotary Club, where she is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Glennie and her husband, Steve, are members of the First United Methodist Church of Bainbridge. They have one son, Steven. “It is an honor to join the board of First National Bank, whose commitment to Decatur and Grady Counties is evident through their customer service, a wide array of financial services, and community engagement,” says Glennie.
Brooke Jones is a life-long resident of Grady County. She is a graduate of Cairo High and of Valdosta State University where she earned her BBA in Marketing. She has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing.
Since 2011 she and her husband, Jeremy, have owned and operated Southern Promotions & Apparel, an embroidery and printing business in Cairo.
Brooke has served in helping many community organizations and most recently as the 2016 Chairperson of the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce. Brooke and Jeremy have two children, Turner and Gentry. “I am very excited and honored to serve in this role. I look forward to working with this team, helping our bank continue to grow and serve our communities,” says Brooke.
