Salvation Army is hosting their third annual Back to School Supply drive and needs the public’s help.
The supply drive began Monday and runs through Friday, July 20. The Salvation Army provides all supplies donated to the children of Decatur County who may not be able to afford the supplies themselves.
They are asking for pencils, paper, pens, rulers, glue, USB drives, crayons, highlighters, erasers, scissors, markers and more.
People interested in donating can drop off the supplies at one of the following locations: First Port City Bank, First State Bank, First National Bank of Decatur County, Bank of the Ozarks, Envision Credit Union, Family Bank, Five Star Credit Union, Three Rivers Credit Union, Peoples South Bank and The Salvation Army.
Stacy Warren, director of the Bainbridge Service Center, said she is blessed to live in a community where people are focused on the success of others and where local financial institutions serve as drop off locations.
She sees this as a win-win for all involved and looks forward to helping Salvation Army distribute all the supplies to families who have found themselves in this unexpected situation.
