Bainbridge Public Safety is investigating an altercation Sunday morning that led to a death.

BPS responded to a report of a stabbing around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, where investigators learned about a fight between Brandon Sasser and his girlfriend. The altercation led to Sasser getting stabbed. He died from the wounds, according to BPS investigator Chip Nix.

According to Nix, the altercation started around the Hutto-McGiver Homes on Sims Street before moving to MLK Drive where the stabbing occurred.

The investigation is ongoing.
