Bainbridge cross-country medals two varsity runners at home meet

The Bainbridge varsity boys cross-country team took a fifth place finish and the girls placed 10th last Saturday at the Bearcat Invitational 5K meet.
Stokes Moore finished first for the Bearcats and fifth overall out of 130 runners, clocking a quick 19:11.92 time, his fastest of the season.
Andru Matthews was next to finish with a 21:07.62 time, and Aiden Matthews behind him with a 21:15.75, followed closely by Tymere Nobel with a 21:16.25 time.
David Long came in at 21:26.04, Iandon Watts clocked in at 21:34.20 and Tom Emmons crossed the finish line at 21:58.68. Joe Emmons came in at 22:19.37, Jared Davis crossed the finish line at 22:22.06 and Ashton Matthews clocked a 23:23.42.
For the girls, Viviana Schuyler took third place overall with a time of 20:43.66.
Katelyn Miller clocked in at 33:23.37, Olevia Diaz finished at 34:11.00, followed by Makayla Ingram at 34:29.22 and Kayla Braswell with a 34:37.52. Sara Matthews clocked a 35:35.45 to finish the Lady Cats for the day.
The J.V. boys were led by Titus Porter with a time of 24:28.90. Close behind him was a large pack of Bearcats, including John Willis Maples at 34:34.54, Johnathon Farrington at 24:34.80, Angel Guzman at 24:35.61, Hunter Matthews at 24:41.06 and Hunter Harris at 25:29.54.
Pratik Patel clocked in at 29:47.96 and Hayden Martin came in at 31:50.02 to give the J.V. Bearcats a third place finish.
Bainbridge Middle School’s boys team took a ninth place finish in the two-mile race. Thomas Brock led them with a 15:33.70 time, followed by Brock Williams with a time of 15:59.92, Mariovan Dominguez with a time of 16:04.96, DeZhreon Donaldson with a time of 16:38.62 and Joshua Fillingame with a 17:14.48.
Ryland Bland stole the show for BMS with a 15:07.21 time in the girls two-mile run. Behind her was Haydyn Clock with a time of 18:05.99, Mallorie Barrineau with a time of 18:41.97, Allison Oliver with a time of 23:09.42, Hope Hair with a time of 23:56.22 and Kinsey Ward with a time of 24:08.32.
The BMS Lady Cats finished seventh out of 12.
