Fall is coming to Bainbridge, and with it the Flint River Fair next Tuesday, Oct. 2, through Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Earle May Boat Basin.
Fairgoers will get to jump, spin, and flip on their favorite rides like the Ferris wheel and rollercoaster, while also playing all the games they know and love.
Plenty of food vendors will be set up for visitors to grab hot dogs, funnel cakes, fried Oreos and caramel apples as well.
This year’s fair also features a few new additions. On Wednesday, armbands will be offered as a buy one get one deal. You must have a buy one get one coupon to participate in the deal. Coupons can be found at all local banks, credit unions, pharmacies and the Chamber of Commerce.
Thursday is an antique car show courtesy of the Memories Car Club. Visitors will get to see plenty of old vehicles that are prized and cherished by owners from around the Southwest Georgia region.
On Friday, anyone who brings a Bainbridge football ticket at 9 p.m. gets a $2 admission.
Saturday will be first responders day from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. All area first responders will have free entry and their immediate family will have a $2 admission. Touch a truck will also be held during this time, giving kids a chance to get up close to firetrucks, police vehicles and ambulances.
Gate admissions are $4 presale and $5 at the gate. Presales are available only through Monday, Oct. 1, and are available at all local banks, credit unions, pharmacies and the Chamber of Commerce. Presales are only good for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
Children 3 and under get free admission. Presale unlimited ride armbands are $20, and unlimited ride armbands at the gate are $25.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. on weekdays and at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
