SwimCats dominate final two meets of regular season

The SwimCats finished their regular season with two successful meets in Thomasville on Jan. 17 and 18.
On Jan. 17, the girls won the meet and the boys placed a close second.
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Branch Butler, John Willis Maples, and David Long, and Austin Aldridge placed third, the team of Sandy Baker, Paige Overman, Katie Calhoun, and Emily Chambers placed second, and the team of Madalyn Yancey, Mackenzie Thomas, Viviana Schuyler, and Malloree Inlow placed fifth. In the 200 free relay, the team of David Long, Stokes Moore, Joe Emmons and Austin Aldridge placed second and the team of Blake Lowe, Hayden Martin, Tom Emmons and Jonathan Farrington placed fourth and the girls team of Alex Riche, Sarah Kaylee Wynn, Paige Overman, and Madison Mills placed third; and Mackenzie Thomas, Sarah Grace Farrell, and Samantha Worthington, and Malloree Inlow placed 5th. In the 400 free relay, the team of Blake Lowe, John Willis Maples, Branch Butler, and Stokes Moore placed first; and the team of Tom Emmons, Hayden Martin, Jonathan Farrington, and Joe Emmons placed second; the team of Sandy Baker, Madison Mills, Emily Chambers and Katie Campbell placed first, and the team of Sarah Kaylee Wynn, Ashlyn Brock, Alex Rich and Vivi Schuyler placed second.
In individual events, point scorers were Blake Lowe, placing 3rd in the 200 free and 2nd in the 500 free; Branch Butler, placing 4th in the 200 free and 2nd in the 200 back; Stokes Moore, placing 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 500 free; David Long, placing 6th in the 50 free; Austin Aldridge, placing 4th in the 100 free; John Willis Maples, placing 5th in the 100 free and 2nd in the 100 breast; and Hayden Martin, placing 5th in the 100 breast.
For the ladies, point scorers were Sandy Baker, placing 2nd in the 200 free and 2nd in the 100 back; Ashlyn Brock, placing 3rd in the 200 free and 4th in the 100 back; Malloree Inlow, placing 4th in the 200 free and 3rd in the 100 breast; Paige Overman, placing 3rd in the 200 IM and 1st in the 500 free; Vivi Schuyler, placing 4th in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 500 free; Emily Chambers, placing 2nd in the 50 free and 2nd in the 100 free; Madison Mills, placing 3rd in the 50 free; Katie Campbell, placing seoncd in the 100 fly and first in the 100 free; Sarah Kaylee Wynn, placing 5th in the 100 free; Alex Riche, placing 5th in the 100 free; Sarah Grace Farrell, placing 6th in the 100 back; and Mackenzie Thomas placing 4th in the 100 breast. At the Friday Frenzy in Thomasville on January 18th, the Lady SwimCats won the meet, while the Male SwimCats placed forth. The combined team placed second.
Relays who scored points for the team were the boys relay of Branch Butler, John Willis Maples, David Long, and Austin Aldridge who placed first, the girls A team of Sandy Baker, Paige Overman, Katie Calhoun, and Emily Chambers who placed first, the girls B team of Madalyn Yancey, Mackenzie Thomas, Vivi Schuyler, and Malloree Inlow who placed sixth in the Medley Relays. In the 200 free relays, the boys team of David Long, Stokes Moore, Joe Emmons, and Austin Aldridge placed third; the boys relay of Blake Lowe, Hayden Martin, Tom Emmons, and Griffin Perkins placed seventh; the girls team of Alex Riche, Sarah Kaylee Wynn, Paige Overman, and Madison Mills placed third, and the girls team of Mackenzie Thomas, Sarah Grace Farrell, Samantha Worthington and Malloree Inlow placed seventh. In the 400 freestyle relays, the boys team of Griffin Perkins, Hayden Martin, Jonathan Farrington, and Joe Emmons placed third; the girls team of Sandy
Baker, Madison Mills, Emily Chambers, and Katie Campbell placed first; and the girls team of Sarah Kaylee Wynn, Ashlyn Brock, Alex Riche, and Vivi Schuyler placed third.
In individual events, boys who scored points were Griffin Perkins, placing fifth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 fly; Blake Lowe, placing sixth in the 200 free and 5th in the 500 free; Stokes Moore, placed 5th in the 200 I.M. and 4th in the 500 free; Austin Aldridge placed 6th in the 50 free and 5th in the 100 free; David Long placed 7th in the 50 free; Branch Butler placed 6th in the 100 fly and 7th in the 100 back; John Willis Maples placed 7th in the 100 free and 2nd in the 100 breast; and Hayden Martin placed 7th in the 100 breast.
For the Lady SwimCats, points were scored by Sandy Baker, winning the 200 free and the 100 back; Ashlyn Brock, placing third in the 200 free and 5th in the 100 back; Paige Overman, placing third in the 200 IM; Emily Chambers, winning the 50 free and the 100 free; Madison Mills, placing 5th in the 50 free; Katie Campbell, placing second in the 50 free and second in the 100 fly; Viviana Schuyler, placing second in the 500 free; Malloree Inlow, placing 4th in the 100 back; and Mackenzie Thomas, placing sixth in the 100 breast.
Every member of the SwimCats scored points for their team at this meet making Coaches Chambers and Durham very proud. The
SwimCats next meet is the Region meet in Harris County on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
