Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce president Lauren Minor brought the Bainbridge Lions Club up to date Wednesday on the numerous city and county projects they are involved in.
“We are very involved in River Town Days and the annual local fair,” Minor said in opening her comments. “We have a calendar on our web site where we list ongoing and upcoming events and areas of focus the Chamber of Commerce is involved in.”
She said the first is business development, the second is promoting business growth for existing business in Bainbridge and Decatur County, the third is governmental affairs, and the fourth is becoming a voice for the business community at all levels of government.
Minor also talked about the chambers involvement in work force development.
“We are dedicated to providing Bainbridge and Decatur County with a pipeline of workers with employable skills,” she said. “We also provide leadership development and seek to build and enhance leaders at all levels.
“Your Chamber of Commerce also provides discount insurance, free discount advertising, publicity events and ribbon cuttings, networking events, volunteer opportunities, sponsorship opportunities and professional development opportunities.”
