Bearcats struggle for runs against Harris County

Saturday proved to be a tough day for the Bearcats (2-5) baseball team as they lost 12-2 against the Harris County Tigers.
The game was scoreless up until the bottom of the fourth when Harris County knocked in eight runs. Bainbridge fought back with a couple runs in the top of the fifth, but another two runs from the Tigers in the fifth and two more in the sixth put the game out of reach.
Kaleb Varnum took the loss for Bainbridge. He went three and a third innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and striking out two.
Quayde Hawkins went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Bearcats in hits.
Harris County collected 13 hits on the day. Bainbridge collected four.
