Faye, daughter of Ralph and Mary King, was born on September 28, 1946, in Bainbridge, Georgia. After graduating from Bainbridge High School, Faye worked at Atlanta’s Merchandise Mart. She eventually returned to Bainbridge to work for the George Daniels CPA Firm where she worked for many years until her retirement. During this time, she performed in her church’s choir before becoming the Choir Director. She remained a member at Bethany Baptist until her passing.
Faye married David Napier whom she knew from her high school years when he would flirt with her during summers spent at Yates Springs. They were reacquainted at a West Bainbridge Baptist Church social and married in April of 1992.
Faye deeply loved spending time with her family and her beloved pets. Her most favorite pastimes were expressing her faith through her music and tending her flower garden. Her highly contagious smile and laughter will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, David Napier; her stepchildren, Jeff Napier and Jennifer Moore; her three sisters, Judy Fallecker, Linda Moyers, and Sandra Mack; her four brothers, Joe King, Butch King, David King, and Tommy King; and nineteen nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia King Davis and Hazel Paul King.
