Hilda Frances Scott was born November 23, 1939, in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Rufus and Panzie Cumbie Scott. She married Richard L. “Dick” Fenner and lived in North Florida returning to her native home in 2008. Hilda was a member of First Baptist Church in Havana, Fla.

Always dressed to the nines and always in a hurry, Hilda would say “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” She had that jewelry and makeup on ready for the whatever event may come up. Hilda was a great piano player and enjoyed playing for her best friends, her fur babies, whom she loved dearly. (Jasmine was the most recent and is spoiled rotten.) Hilda loved everything yellow and many think it symbolizes the sunshine she brought to others.

Survivors include her beloved furry companion, Jasmine; her step-sons, Randy Fenner of Tallahassee, Fla. and Rickey Fenner of California; her siblings, Iona Thornton of Bainbridge, Magaline & J.W. Mosley of Tallahassee, Mary Harrison, Ruby & Leonard Bennett, and Danny (Denny) & Sheila Scott, all of Bainbridge; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. “Dick” Fenner; and her brother, Willie Scott.
