Grace Christian Academy golf is in their third season of play and looking to make a final win at the end of their upcoming season.
The golf team, which is coached by Shona Rykard, is comprised of eight players: Parker Goodson, Spence Butler, Seth Parker, Blake Rykard, Abigail Anderson, Emma Benedict, Rihannon Brock and Mel Bodrey.
The team has already competed against Fullington, Tift Area, Seminole County High School and Bainbridge High School in a tri competition. Although they have had a slow start, Rykard attributes that to losing six seniors this season and still working to build the program.
Rykard knows the team is still improving and she just wants the team to have fun.
“They are learning the game and having fun, and that’s all that really matters,” Rykard said.
The team still has three more matches ahead of them, and hopes to score a hole in one and dominate the competition.
