Bainbridge eliminated from playoffs after two losses to Locust Grove

The Bainbridge baseball team ended its season Wednesday in the first round of the state playoffs with back-to-back losses to Locust Grove.
The Bearcats finished 12-16 overall and 6-6 in Region 1-AAAAA. They finished third in the region behind Harris county (12-) and Thomas County Central (9-3).
In game one, Bainbridge fell 7-0 to Locust Grove. The Bearcats took an 11-3 loss in game two.
Entering the playoffs, Bainbridge was on a three-game win streak with big region wins of Veterans and a win against Class 7A team Tift County.
Locust Grove will continue on to play Starr’s Mill in the second round of the state tournament.
