Bainbridge track and field celebrates season at banquet

Bainbridge High School’s track and field banquet was held last week at Jones-Wheat Elementary.
On the girl’s side, Viviana Schuyler was awarded top distance runner. Schuyler ran the one and two mile races throughout the season.
Emma Briggs was awarded the Academic Award for the highest GPA and the Most Improved award.
Tykeia Adams received the Most Valuable Athlete award. Destiny Turner received the Top Field Award and Angel Peterson was honored with the Coaches Award.
On the boys side, Donye Mills was honored with the Coaches Award, Roman Harrison received the Top Field Award and Stokes Moore was given the Top Distance Runner and the Academic Award for highest GPA.
At the State Finals meet in Carrollton May 9-11, Stokes Moore finished 10th in the 800 meter, setting a new PR with a time of 1:59.07
Viviana Schuyler finished 12th in the one mile with a time of 5:32.10 and 6th in the two mile setting a new PR and a new Bainbridge High School record with a time of 11:42.58
Roman Harrison finished 7th in the discus throw, Tykeia Adams participated in the 300M hurdles, Angel Peterson participated in the Long Jump and Destiny Turner, participated in High Jump.
