Bearcat basketball grabs two more wins

The Bainbridge Bearcats (6-3) had two big wins this week, taking down Cairo 67-46 and beating Colquitt County 61-57, both on the road.
Versus the Syrupmakers, Deyon Bouie had 13 points, TJ Tarver had 12 points and Mark Taylor Jr. scored 11 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Alvanni Williams and Dylun Worlds with 7 points each, Dewayne Kyles, Lathan Levens, Tyrell Bryant and Dorian Cooper with 4 points each and KJ Cochran with 1 point.
In double figures for the Bearcats against the Packers was Deyon Bouie with 10 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Mark Taylor Jr. with 9 points, Dorrian Cooper with 8 points, KJ Cochran and Dylun Worlds with 7 points each, Tyrell Bryant and Alvanni Williams with 6 points each, Rashad Broadnax with 5 points and TJ Tarver with 3 points.
The Lady Cats (3-6) fell closely to Cairo 52-47 and lost to Colquitt County 68-28.
Against the Syrupmaids, Kirston Noble had 14 points and India Parris put up 12 points. Other scorers for the Lady Cats were Taralyn Brown with 6 points, Anndrea Porter, Denise Chappell and Detavia Salter with 4 points each, Taniah Register with 2 points and Destiny Turner with 1 point.
Against Colquitt County, Taralyn Brown led the team with 8 points. Other scorers for the Lady Cats were Denise Chappell with 6 points, Kirston Noble and India Parris with 4 points each, and Taniah Register, Anndrea Porter and Angel Peterson with 2 points each.
Bainbridge took on Thomasville Friday night and will play Thomas County Central on the road Saturday. Tipoff is 6:00 p.m. for the girls and 7:30 p.m. for the boys.
