Alecia Anne Martin was born January 25, 1965 in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of “Big Jim” Martin and Barbara Anne Bradley. The youngest of three siblings, Alecia lived most of her life in Bainbridge. Pam, her sister, was much like the mother figure throughout her life, and Bo, her brother, was her best friend. For many years she was employed at Video West where she met the love of her life, Jimmy Nix, 32 years ago.

Alecia lived her life on her terms. She was very strong willed and fought a good fight to remain here with us before starting her new life with the Lord. Alecia never “bit her tongue”; if she thought it, she would say it. She found joy in her animals, baking and working in the yard. Alecia would spend hours watching hummingbirds and could make anything bloom beautifully. She will always be remembered as a beloved companion, sister, aunt and friend. Do not cry that she is gone. Smile because she lived.

Survivors include her beloved, Jimmy Nix; her siblings, Pam & Mike Lindsey, Bo Martin, Jayme Bullock and Donna Martin; and her nieces and nephews, Jan Dollar, Christie Floyd, Misty Floyd, James Martin, Jr., Pamela Martin, Tyler Lloyd, Lily Kate Dollar, Mason Smith, Lane Mills and Bella Floyd. Alecia was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Anne Bradley and James Willis “Big Jim” Martin; and her fur baby, A.J.
