Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside funeral service will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Robert Cronin officiating.

Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry, 4556 Old Highway 179 South, Calvary, Ga. 39829.

Mrs. Hyde was born November 5, 1929 in Aucilla, Fl. to Elmo and Lura Miller Bishop. She married Edwin Billy Hyde on March 19, 1954. She retired from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Audrey was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Audrey enjoyed gardening for the simple pleasure of watching things grow to full bloom. Roses were her favorites and reminded her things of beauty often come with thorns of their own. She was an artist, skilled in needlework, which included knitting, cross-stitch, needlepoint and most anything that involved sewing, and a voracious reader. Audrey loved new clothes and like most southern ladies kept the tales of her shopping experiences to herself.

Survivors include her sons, Edwin Billie Hyde and his wife, Helen, of Ball Ground, Ga., and Jerry Ancil Hyde and his wife, Sally, of Tallahassee, Fl.; and her grandchildren, Audrey Hannah Hyde of Decatur, Ga., and Sarah Bishop Hyde, Sampson Shaw Hyde and Jackson Billy Hyde all of Tallahassee. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Billy Hyde; and her sisters, Olie Bishop Brinson and Quincie V. Roebuck.
