Velvet Hall Sorrow was born May 5, 1963, in Quincy, Florida, to Mack Albert Hall and Joyce Brock Hall. On July 20, 1981 she married Timothy (Timmy) Dewayne Sorrow. She and Timmy are the proud parents of three sons. Velvet loved her work with large equipment. She was a foreman and large equipment operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation. She loved to garden. She worked in her own garden and was her father’s tractor driver for his. Attending yard sales and auctions brought her joy. She was a wonderful cook and loved to vacation in the mountains. Velvet was a member of Pine Hill Holiness Church. Mrs. Sorrow dearly loved her family. Each member was so important to her and brought her such joy; but her grandchildren were her heart. Velvet Hall Sorrow will be deeply missed by her large family and many, many friends.
