Blanche Ingram was born December 11, 1928 in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of Emmett and Pearl Miller Ingram. She graduated from Seminole County High School and worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant at Donalsonville Hospital. She married J.D. Dobson and lived a wonderful life with him for 61 years. Blanche was a member of Bainbridge Church of God.
A Godly force. A woman with unshakeable faith. A light in the darkness. A prayer warrior. A wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and daughter of the Most High. MawMaw showed people how to love God, how to worship and she always had faith in others. Blanche left an impression on everyone she met. She was sweet with a side of firecracker. You could not count the times her family laughed until they cried because of something she did or said. A remarkable woman who loved like Jesus and lived her testimony of faith in her daily walk.
Survivors include her children, Johnny R. Dobson (Donna) of Roswell, Ga., Richard D. Dobson (Darlene) of Odum, Ga., Debbie D. Whitaker of Iron City, Ga., Jan D. Pope (Daryl) of Bainbridge, Ga., and Benita D. Harrell (Nathan) also of Bainbridge; her sister, Geneva Gilbert of Jakin, Ga.; her grandchildren, Stacy, Terry & Jenny, Lisa & Chris, Timothy, Justin & Annette, and Josh & Brittny; and her great-grandchildren, Jack, Max, Zachary, Kinsley, Kaela, Elijah, Ryan, Lanie, and Caleb. In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Dobson; and her brother, Malcolm “Buddy” Ingram.
