From a very young age, we’ve been taught, “The holidays are meant to be spent with our loved ones.” Because holidays are meant to be spent with those we love most, holidays can be one of the hardest part of grieving the loss of a loved one. Holidays tend to magnify that loss, and it is a time many miss their loved ones even more. The sadness can seem unbearable and the loneliness may feel isolating. Holidays can be a time when the need for support and guidance may be the greatest.
The Samaritan Counseling Center recognizes the difficulties holidays may bring to someone who is grieving. The Center is offering a virtual Grief Support Group, which will meet weekly. The group begins Wednesday, November 11th from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM. Each Wednesday for the 6 weeks and will cover topics essential to recovery from the hurt of grief and loss. Call the Samaritan Counseling Center at (229) 243-1633 to sign up today! Cost will be $15.00 per session and weekly meetings will take place over Zoom. We look forward to hearing from you!
