Leonard Roger Faircloth was born December 28, 1953 in Bainbridge, the son of Carl and Jeanette McDowell Faircloth. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School. Leonard married Karen Donalson in 1972 and they made their home in Bainbridge. He was a shop foreman for Tidewater Equipment and a member of West Street Baptist Church.
Leonard was the guy that could fix anything. He took great pride in working with Roger especially when he could show him a thing or two. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, and working in the yard (which never had a blade of grass out of place). He always wanted a new truck, so truck shopping happened on every trip. Leonard loved being on the river, a good fish fry, and sucker sides when they were in season. Family was the center of Leonard’s thoughts and he spent his days providing for them.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Karen D. Faircloth; his children, Roger & Valerie Faircloth of Bainbridge and Katy & Nick Fischer of Tallahassee, Fla.; his sisters, Tonya Williams and her husband, Leslie, of Donalsonville and Sandy Lambert of Bainbridge; and his grandchildren, Ben, Valley and Eli. Leonard was preceded in death by his father; and his siblings, Mike Faircloth and Terri Faircloth.
