Dawn Marie Warren was taken home by her Heavenly Father on March 8, 2021 at the young age of 45.   Dawn was born on February 24, 1976 to the late Harold Harvey Warren and Elizabeth Jean Lichtenberger Warren in Bloomington, Indiana. Dawn fought hard, after having a massive stroke in December 2018, to regain her health.  The Heavenly Father, however, took her on home.  In the last several years she made her home in Cairo, Georgia.   In previous years, she had lived in northern Minnesota, Tallahassee and various other cities in central Florida, and Monessen, Pennsylvania.  Dawn got her associates degree in graphic design and started doing freelance work.   She worked for several newspapers and publications putting her skills to good use.   Upon moving back to Cairo, Georgia, she worked at Woodhaven as an inspector.  Dawn Warren was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  However, she had most recently attended church with her son Dakota Daniel at Pine Level Baptist Church.   A memorial service and celebration of her life is being held at Pine Level Baptist Church on March 18, 2021 at 7 pm.   After the service there will be a dinner and get- together of family and close friends at Dakota Daniel’s home located at 363 Ridge Road, Cairo, Georgia.

Dawn was preceded in death by grandparents, Howard “Hobb” and Jewel Brock Warren, Kenneth and Norma Jean Lichtenberger, and Herman “Smokey” and Lois Crabtree Burke; father, Harold Harvey Warren; brothers, Stacy Wells and Stephen H. Warren; sister Merry Wells Warren; niece, Penny Haverty; nephew, Jason Warren; uncles, Delmar Warren and Chester Cherry; her aunts on her father’s side of family, Latrell Warren, Virginia Parrish, Velda Mae Oliver, Eva Dennis, Elizabeth Palmer, Jenell Delphia, and Miriam Warren.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Jean Lichtenberger Warren of Cairo, Ga; son, Dakota Daniel (Caroline) of Cairo; daughters, Kira Daniel of Cairo and Angelica Scott (Kenny) of Woodville, Fla..; brothers, Troy Johnson (Anita) of Calvary, Ga., Ricky Warren (Teresa) of Lake Seminole, Donalsonville, Ga., Donald Warren (Glenious) of Meigs, Ga., Harold O’Neil Warren of Ochlocknee, Ga.; sister, Phyllis Henderson McMullen (Jr) of Ochlocknee; “adopted” sisters, Kisha “Mandy” Frost of Monessen, Pa. and Nicole “Nikki” Bennett Elkins of Macon, Ga.; two grandchildren, Triston Childer and Paisley Scott both of Woodville; many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
