Mavis Ann Lynn Ulmer, 79 of Bainbridge, Ga./Tallahassee, Fla., passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel in Havana, Fla.. A graveside funeral service will be held after the service at 3:30 pm in Roselawn Cemetery in Bainbridge. The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm before the service at the funeral home. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet or wear protective face masks.
Mrs. Mavis was born on Sunday, April 27, 1941 in Miller County, Ga. The daughter of the late A.T. Parker and the late Cora Lee Daniels Parker, she was a 1959 graduate of Bainbridge High School. She worked as a nurse at Riverside Hospital and Bainbridge Memorial Hospital for over 35 years. She was married to Toby Lynn for 35 years until his passing in 1995, and later married J.T. Ulmer.
She is survived by her two sons Lloyd Lynn of Marianna, Fla. and Bruce Lynn of Tallahassee; a daughter Theresa Lynn Carnes (husband Brian) of Bainbridge; Three sisters Leola Dean of MacClenny, Fla.; Kaye Slay of Blakely, Ga.; and Barbara Hucks (husband Carl) of Conway, S.C. Three grandchildren Kristy Mock (husband Brian) of Tallahassee, and Josh Carnes and Matthew Carnes of Bainbridge. Three great-grandchildren Bryce, Brody and Brees Mock all of Tallahassee.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Toby Lynn and J.T. Ulmer.
