Most high school students spend the week of July 4th at the beach, lake or river hanging out with friends and family. However, Carson Lynn, 10th grade FFA member at Bainbridge High School spent his July 4th at the NSR(National Swine Registry) Summer Type Conference Swine Show in Louisville, Kentucky doing what he loves the most, showing pigs. Carson and his family traveled to Louisville to exhibit pigs, compete in the livestock judging contest and the extemporaneous public speaking contest. Carson showed in the Poland Barrow division and was named 4th Overall in the show. He also competed in the livestock judging contest and the extemporaneous speaking contest, where he was able to hone critical thinking skills and public speaking skills. This was the first time that Carson competed in either of these contests and looks forward to competing in the years to come. Carson Lynn is the oldest son of Jeff and Cara Lynn.
