The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Leadership Team was excited to welcome Decatur County 4-H graduate, Corbin Austin, to Athens on September 20, 2021 for the State of Extension address which launched their Program Planning Week. Austin was extended this first-ever invitation due to his outstanding reputation as a 4-H’er and to his recent Georgia 4-H state win in public speaking. His presentation was delivered live to University of Georgia College/Extension personnel and was also transmitted via zoom to UGA campus and office sites throughout Georgia. Extension faculty and staff were excited and motivated to hear Austin’s powerful and compelling speech about being open to the future. Corbin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Austin, and Decatur County Extension staff attended the Athens session in support of this great honor.
