Mr. Harvey Dixon (Gene) Rogers, age 83, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, November 29, 2021, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Services for Mr. Rogers will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  The Rev. Stephen Webb will officiate.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Mr. Rogers will be interred in Oak City Cemetery.

Harvey Dixon (Gene) Rogers was born April 21, 1938, in Coffee County, Alabama, to Thelton D. Rogers and Martha Brooks Rogers.  He was talented in every area when it came to working with his hands.  He was a great carpenter and home builder.  He also had a “green thumb” and liked to grow plants.  He loved to fish.  Harvey Rogers will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Harvey Dixon Rogers is survived by his children, Rhonda Gay (Larry) of Bainbridge and Russell Rogers (Shelly) of Jacksonville, Florida; siblings, Roy Rogers (Katie) of Donalsonville, Georgia, Thelma Haire (Wade) of Leesburg, Georgia, and Juanita Ingram of Griffin, Georgia; grandchildren, Tara Meredith (John) of Thomasville, Georgia, Tawna Saint-vil (Jeffrey) of Texas, Damian Rogers of Jacksonville, and Jessica Rogers of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Abrie, Jackson, Lincoln, and Callie Meredith; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary Ellen Hurt and Jeanette King, and brother, Bud Rogers.
