The Bainbridge High School Anchor Club has been active this season. During the month of December, Anchor President Paige Overman organized a toy drive to surprise the students of the after-school program at The Friendship House of Jesus. Members donated and wrapped toys for 48 children and then delivered them on the afternoon of December 16th. The second service project for the month was a collection of non-perishable food which will be donated to the Little Free Pantry in hopes of helping some families celebrate the season. Finally, club members donated to the tornado victims in Kentucky through the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund. Anchor sponsor, Heidi Chambers, said that the Anchor members remember the destruction caused by Hurricane Michael and wanted to help the Kentucky communities as they work to rebuild. The Anchor Club looks forward to more service projects next semester.
