Mr. Samuel Clay Glisson, age 44, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Services for Mr. Glisson were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 25, at Christian Faith Church.  The Rev. Ron Kirkland officiated.  Interment followed in West Bainbridge Cemetery.  Anthony Glisson, Nickolas Glisson, Morris Glisson, Darrell Peter, Lee Glisson, and Stacey Strickland served as pallbearers.  The family received friends at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday.

Samuel Clay Glisson was born May 13, 1977, in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Clay was a hard worker.  He was a talented builder and mechanic and a great painter.  Clay was a strong quiet man.  He was a straight shooter and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

Clay Glisson is survived by his parents, Allen Glisson (Carolyn) of Bainbridge and Beverly Ann Kreps (Ken) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his children, A. J. Glisson (fiancé, Savanna Chason), Sammy Glisson, Alex Glisson, Macey Snipes, Collyn Glisson, Caymun Glisson, Zack Glisson, and Thomas Glisson all of Bainbridge; sister, Natosha Beard (Scott) of Crawfordville, Florida, brother, Lee Nesmith; sister, Libby Neill both of Bainbridge; grandson, John Glisson of Bainbridge; and grandmother, Eloise Whitaker of Bainbridge.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ceaphus and Hazel Glisson, and Willard Whitaker
