Frances Jane Connell was born October 15, 1957, in Marietta, Ga., the daughter of Earl & Hilda Gray Connell. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1975. Fran was an interior designer who inspired others to add a little color to their lives. She was a member of First Church of Christ and Bainbridge Service Club. Fran also served as a board member of Firehouse Arts Center and actively supported Friends with Jesus Ministries.
Words don’t do justice describing Fran’s personality and presence. When she entered a room, it felt filled with sunshine. She was striking and adventuresome, a gregarious beauty, confident and yet down to earth. She had a way with people…if she didn’t remember the details, she guided you in conversation until you helped her remember the details. Everyone was her friend. Interior design was Fran’s passion. She could make a room-on-a-budget look like a design magazine photo with little to no effort and a few items she picked up here and there. Fran felt called to help others, often at her own expense but never with a second thought. To know her was to love her.
Survivors include her best friend & confidant, Ward Trulock; her stepson & daughter-in-law, Ryan & Reneé Trulock; her siblings, Libby Connell Prince, Keith & Kaye Midler, Paul Midler, Joni & Tom Skaggs, and Jan Stevens Thienpont; her nieces & nephews, Heys & Brooke, Blake & Ashley, Alex & Alyssa, Michael & Hillary, Rachel & Bob, Doug & Theres, Heath & Kelly, Jess & Charlanna, and Josh & Wesley; and several great-nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Earl “Mickey” Connell.
Fran’s family extends their sincere gratitude to Agape Care Group for their kind and compassionate care.
