Nell Wright, age 93, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

The visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Scarborough officiating.  A graveside service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Brandon Meredith, Justin Meredith, Jason Maxwell, Jason Strickland, Zack Maxwell, and Chase Maxwell serving as active pallbearers.

Nell was born January 20, 1930 in Ariton, Alabama the daughter of Hugh Barr and Reba Sutton Barr. Nell was very family oriented. She loved to cook and babysit for her children. She was an amazing Memaw and Grandma to her grandchildren. She enjoyed her Saturday morning visits to get her lemon filled donut. She enjoyed the company of her family, celebrating Christmas and Easter, and fellowshipping with those that she loved. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over fifty years until she was unable to attend.

Survivors include her children, Hugh Wright, Wanda K. Meredith (Bill), and Tammie Maxwell (Terry); her grandchildren, Brandon Meredith, Justin Meredith, Jason Maxwell, Jamie Strickland, Shane Wright, and Shannon W. Lynch; her great-grandchildren, Zack Maxwell, Chase Maxwell, Charlie Strickland, Wade Strickland, Jack Meredith, Charlotte Lynch, and Eliza Lynch ; sister, Becky Strickland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Charlie W Wright; and siblings, Louie Barr, JT Barr, James Barr, and Barbara Tomlin.

The Wright family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
