GCA Cougars season ends with loss to Robert Toombs Christian

The GCA Cougar’s baseball season came to an end May 5, with the boys falling to Robert Toombs Christian Academy in a double-header.
The Cougars had a rough start, with Toombs winning the first game 6-1. Keith Eidson pitched for five innings, allowing 10 hits and 6 runs and striking out 2. After Eidson, Noah Smith threw a single inning in relief. Eidson, Landon Temples and Spencer Blanton each made one hit a piece, ultimately scoring a single point.
In the second game, Landon Temples singled in the first inning. On the pitcher’s mound, Aiden Whittaker pitched five innings, allowing five runs and striking out five. Smith went on to throw two innings in relief. Whittaker, Temples, Eidson, Graham Beckham, Hines Roberts and Oathen Atkinson each made single hits over the course of the game, ultimately scoring two points for the cougars. Unfortunately, the Cougars lost the second game to Robert Toombs, 8-2.
This game brought the Cougar’s season to an end.
