Delores Trawick was born February 28, 1938, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Tom Trawick and Clyde Belcher Trawick. Delores was raised in Iron City, Georgia but spent her adult life in Bainbridge. She had a large personality. She laughed easily, never met a stranger, spoke her mind, and loved big. When she wanted something, she went for it. An example is when she spotted a very handsome young man gathered with others on the square in Bainbridge. Delores stopped, spoke to him through his car window, and grabbed his car keys. To get them back he and a friend followed her to Donalsonville and introductions were made. From that “introduction” came 58 years of marriage. The love of her life, John Earl Cloud, passed away in 2015. She started working by picking cotton at age 5 and carried that work ethic with her throughout her life. Delores was a talented seamstress. She loved making pecan pies as gifts for her friends and square dancing. Delores was a life-long member of the First Christian Church. Her grandchildren and many of their friends lovingly called her “Ninny”. Delores Cloud will be deeply missed by the family she deeply loved and her many, many friends.
Delores Trawick Cloud is survived by her daughter, Rene Chason (Mark); sister, Debra Miller (Grady), sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Trawick, Dianne Trawick, and Anne Trawick; brother-in-law Melvin Cloud (Melba); grandchildren, Savanna Chason (A.J.), and Kassidy Kelley (Bryce); great-grandchildren, John Glisson, Caymun Glisson, Zach Glisson, Tom Duncan, Braxton Kelley, Clyde Kelley, and Saylor Kelley. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and husband.
A very special thank you for the love and care received from Angie Tyus, Kim Bowles, Ashley Paracca, Stacey Moore, Tameshia Hines, Conner Mock, and Keith Trawick.
