The Decatur County Commissioners gathered for their first meeting of the month last Tuesday morning. There were four items on the day’s agenda, beginning with equipment bids.
The first bid was for a tractor and mower, with the commissioners approving a bid from Clark Tractor Co. in Quincy, Florida; the bid was for $49,300 for a 90-horsepower tractor.
Next was a bid for a dump truck from Nextran in Tallahassee; the bid was $188,350.50 for a Mack truck, with a guaranteed 13-month buy-back of $178,350.50. This was also approved.
Next, the commissioners re-appointed Jamie Earp to the Georgia Pines board.
Lastly, the commissioners voted to approve new annual employee incentives. These incentives were $200 for full-time employees, and $75 for part-time employees, excluding elected officials. This is an increase in full-time incentives, which were set at $175 last year.
Following the commissioner’s remarks, the meeting was adjourned. The commissioner’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 PM.
