The Bearcats won a back-and-forth battle 65-47 against Seminole County.
The game stayed within a few scores for its majority. The Bearcats were up 25-24 at halftime, then started to pull away at the end of the third quarter. They opened the fourth with a 16-5 run and didn’t look back.
Bearcats head coach Kelvin Cochran credited halftime adjustments to the team’s late-game surge.
“We switched up our attack on offense,” Cochran said. “We started playing opposite a lot more, which opened up some driving lanes… That kind of changed the game.”
The Bearcats welcome Hardaway High School for their next matchup. The home game tips off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
