Hillman Joseph Trolinger was born November 25, 1942, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Hillman & Eunice Barber Trolinger. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1960, and the United States Coast Guard Academy where he studied electrical engineering. Jody was a member of First Baptist Church.

Jody loved talking business. It was evident he enjoyed his work and stayed current on technological advances. Beacon Hill and Spring Creek were the happening places. Jody smiled knowing “what happens here, stays here” as he reminisced. He had quite a sense of humor and pulled more pranks than you can count on the children and grandchildren. One particular Halloween, Jody dressed as a “dirty old man” making yet another unforgettable memory for the grandchildren. When it was time to get serious, Jody was all about it. Most often, these times involved youth football games he was coaching or a college football game & the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Gail Sawyer Trolinger; his children, Paul Trolinger of Seabrook, TX, Kevin Trolinger of Valdosta, Patrick Trolinger (Shauna) of Bainbridge, and Jennifer Hall (Charles) of Brinson; his grandchildren, Cole & Tatum, Alexis & Stevens, Sawyer, Matt & Sabrina, Will, Brayden, and Maura Kate; and his great-grandchild, Kash. In addition to his parents, Jody was preceded in death by his son, Joey Whittington; his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Trolinger; and his sisters, Lucretia Oswald and Hilda Brock.
