The Firehouse Art Gallery was busy last Thursday evening, with two simultaneous events drawing the community in: the monthly Social Hour involving a sit-down interview with Thomasville architect and artist Brandon Godwin, as well as the monthly Paint Party.
According to Firehouse Administrative Director Chelsea Kornse, she estimated a dozen people came to listen to Godwin at the Social Hour, while roughly ten came to the Paint Party, which is taught by Priscila Spat, who provides pre-sketched canvases for the event.
“It was amazing,” Kornse said of the evening festivities. “Thank you to Brandon, he did wonderful… it was a great time, and I loved having everyone come out.”
The Firehouse is preparing for its next exhibition, which will open on June 21 at 5:30 PM, with a coastal theme, “By the Sea”. Additionally, the Firehouse is preparing for its upcoming summer art camp, with registration having closed just last week.
