Southwest Georgia Oil donates $100,000 to Memorial Hospital through Georgia Heart

Memorial Hospital and Manor recently received a significant donation of money from Southwest Georgia Oil through the Georgia Heart Tax Credit; $100,000 the be precise.

“Southwest Georgia Oil Co and all our brands – SunStop, Inland, and Total Petroleum – are proud to donate to Memorial Hospital and Manor because our hospital and all the medical professionals who work there form the backbone of our community,” said SWGA Oil’s President, Glennie Bench. “Their work every day strengthens our community – each family, each business, and each person.  We are so thankful to have the opportunity to invest our tax dollars right here in Decatur County through Georgia Heart.”

Jamie Sinko, Director of Development at Memorial, thanked them for the donation: “We are so thankful to Southwest Georgia Oil Co and their brands – SunStop, Inland, and Total Petroleum, that have continued to be major supporters of our hospital and community through the years. The fact that they are choosing to keep their state tax dollars working within our community to benefit our residents is wonderful!” she said. “It is not often that we get to choose how our tax dollars are spent! Thank you for realizing the value of this tax planning strategy which also allows you to make a meaningful investment in our ability to offer quality care!”
