Members of the Bainbridge Rotary Club met at Southern Regional Technical College on Tuesday for their weekly meeting. The meeting began with the pinning of a new Rotarian, Aaron DaSilva, followed by recognition of the veterans in the local Rotary club, with Veteran’s Day approaching.

After this, the guest speakers for the day were Don and Patti Fabian, owners of At Ease Campground and founders of the non-profit Operation At Ease. The couple are veterans themselves, with Don serving in the US Army for 34 years, and Patti in the US Air Force, while also being a military spouse for over 30 years. The couple spoke to the club about what’s offered at At Ease Campground, as well as their efforts to organize groups for veterans, having been established as a post of the American Legion in April of this year. Other activities they engage in include placing flags on veteran’s graves on Veteran’s and Memorial Day, as well as a scholarship contest through the American Legion.

The meeting concluded with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four Way Test.
