The Bainbridge Scout Troops and Cub Pack are preparing for their annual Christmas activities. First and foremost, they will be receiving Frasier fir trees for their annual Christmas tree lot; located at 306 N West Street, the lot will open on Wednesday, November 27. Orders can be made online, with the deadline for online orders being December 14.
The Christmas tree lot is not the only thing the Scouts will be doing for the holidays, there will also be multiple crafts sessions that will be held, along with pictures with Santa. November 30 will feature sugar cookie baking; December 7 will be ornament crafting; and December 14 will feature making gingerbread homes. Guests must pre-register for these events, and can do so at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4FAFAC2DA4FA7-51257141-santa#/
Children under four and adults may participate for free; the fee for children is $5.
In addition to the trees, the Scouts will also be making their own wreaths from the cut limbs of the Christmas trees.
“We also will have football fans, school spirit, and Christmas-themed homemade wreaths for sale as well,” said Scoutmaster Marguerite Jackson. “All proceeds go to Scout Bucks so scouts can earn their way to camp. We take all credit and debit cards and we absorb the credit card fees.”
